sipas librit historik te shqiptareve te amerikes shqiptari i pare qe shkeli kemben ne toke amerikane si emigrant ishte Koli Kristofori nga korca.nje nate te kthjellet te vitit 1886 zbret nga 'pampori' dhe shkel ne portin e Bostonit korcari koli kristofori,ne nje kohe qe nuk do ta kishte menduar kurre se bashkesia shqiptare qe do te lindte permes tij ne masachusetss do te nxirte prej vetes aq shume patriote dhe se afro 500.000 shqiptare do te emigronin deri tani ne amerike.pra per ne shqiptaret eshte viti 1886 viti kur shqiptari i pare shkeli kemben ne amerike.(sefte te mbare beri koli :D-bledi) vitin 1892 koli kthehet ne fshatin e tij ne korce dhe ju tregon shokeve te tij per endren amerikane dhe "boten e re".mbas pak kohesh kthehet serisht ne amerike me 17 bashkefshatare te tij ........!
