Nje kontraceptiv ne formen e injeksionit tek meshkujt mund te rezultoje efektiv ne parandalimin e shtatzanive, po aq sa edhe pilulat qe perdorin femrat.

Nje injeksion mujor testosteroni qe bllokon perkohesisht prodhimin e spermes, mund te revolucionarizoje kontrollin e shtatzanive, thone ekspertet. Sipas “Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism” nder 100 meshkuj qe bene injeksionin, vetem njeri la shtatzene partneren.

Gjashte muaj pas berjes se injeksionit, sperma kthehet ne normalitet. Organizatoret e planifikimit familjar i kane mirepritur keto lajme dhe thone qe shpresojne qe ato t’i bejne meshkujt te jene me te pergjegjshem per kontracepsionin.

Megjithate, do te duhen kontrolle te tjera, pasi perpjekjet e meparshme per nje kontraceptiv te suksesshem mashkullor kane sjelle probleme serioze, efekte anesore dhe ulje te deshires per seks.

Edhe pse injeksioni i testuar se fundi nuk pati efekte anesore, 1/3 e 1045 meshkujve gjate 2,5 vjetesh nuk pranuan ta merrnin. Nese testimi rezulton i suksesshem, trajtimi mund te behet i vlefshem brenda 5 vjetesh.
