Në zjarr masiv ka rënë mbrëmjen e sotme në kampin e emigrantëve “Moria” në ishullin grek Lesbos. Autoritetet kanë evakuuar 4000 emigrant sirianë pasi jeta e tyre ndodhej në rrezik. Deri më tani fatmirësisht nuk është raportuar për viktima.

Policia po heton nëse zjarri është vënë qëllimisht. Sipas Agjencisë për Refugjatë të Kombeve të Bashkuara, rreth 5,600 refugjatë aktualisht jetojnë në Lesbos, por ishulli ka kapacitet vetëm për 3,600 persona.

Mediat greke ndërkohë shkruajnë se në kamp u hapën fjalë se emigrantët do të riktheheshin në Turqi dhe se kjo ka shkaktuar indinjatë në radhët e tyre. Kjo besohet të jetë arsyeja e zjarrvënies.
