Dielli jep spektakël, erozioni më i fuqishëm që prej fillimit te vitit

Ky ka qenë ‘shkëlqimi’ diellor më i fortë i regjistruar që nga fillimi i 2013. Edhe nëse nuk ka arritur një nivel energjie shumë të lartë (M6.5), flaka e diellit në 11 prill, me një erozion të drejtuar drejt Tokës, ka shkaktuar (sipas asaj që thotë NASA) një blackout të shpejtë radio. Shkëlqimi diellor dhe stuhia gjeomanjetike ka krijuar probleme serioze masive në transmetimin dhe komunikimin e sistemit radio dhe satelitore. 2013 është parashikuar kulmi i aktivitet diellor (që ka një cikël rreth 11 vjet) edhe pse ndryshe nga parashikimet aktiviteti i yjeve nuk ka arritur akoma maksimumin.
