Çfarë ndodhi në Betejën e Mokrës

Beteja e Mokrës ishte një betejë ndërmjet forcave të ushtrisë shqiptare të udhëhequr nga Skënderbeu dhe forcave osmane të komanduara nga Firuzi, pashai i Maqedonisë.

U zhvillua në luginën e Mokrës në Tetor 1445.

Goditja e shqiptarëve nga prita anës rrugës në luginën e Mokrës, të pyllëzuar e plot shkëmbinj, ishte krejt e papritur për kundërshtarin.

Veçanërisht të frytshme qenë goditjtet e këmbësorisë shqiptare, kundër kalorësve armiq që pengoheshin nga vendi i thyer.

Sipas Barletit, pjesa më e madhe e ushtrisë osmane u vra dhe 760 veta u kapën robër.

Fitorja pati jehonë të madhe edhe në vendet e tjera, sepse ndodhi pas disfatës që kishin pësuar nga osmanët forcat hungare-polake më 10.11.1444 në betejën e Varnës.
