Eshte gjetur si terminologji dhe si deg e krijimit arkitektonik ne shekullin IXX.
Arkitektura e peisazhit eshte nje nga tipologjit e arkitetures qe merret me projektimin dhe krijimin e hapesirave te jashtme, parqe, kopshte, siperfaqe te gjelberuara etj.
Peisazhi ne vetvete nenkupton nje hapesire te perceptuar natyralisht, karakteri i te ciles derivon nga faktor natyror dhe mardheniet e tyre te ndersjellta.
Hapesira e jashtme eshte po aq e rendesishme sa ajo brenda nje godine, ne menyr te drejteperdrejte ajo ndikon thellesisht ne gjendjen emocionale, estetike dhe funksionale te njeriut.
Te vendosesh qenien humane sa me pran natyres eshte thelbi i jetes.
Arkitektet e peisazhit ndertojne dhe krijojne hapesira urbane apo natyrore me element arkitektonik natyror.
