Pas shortit të 1/8 të finaleve të Ligës së Kampioneve, është hedhur edhe shorti për 1/16 e Europa League, ndeshje të cilat do të luhen më 14-21 shkurt.

Interi do të luajë ndaj rumunëve të Cluj, ndërsa kampionët në fuqi të Europës, Chelsea, do të luajnë ndaj Sparta Praga pasi nuk kaluan dot grupin në Champions.

Takimet më të forta të kësaj faze do të jenë Zenit-Liverpool dhe Bayer Leverkusen- Benfica.
