Zbulimi i nje hene te re rreth Plutonit eshte nje lajm shume i rendesishem dhe interesant per shkencen planetare, por gjithashtu eshte duke shkaktuar edhe pak ankth per ekipin qe drejton New Horizon, nje anije kozmike e cila eshte caktuar te jete e para qe do te vizitoje planetin.

Kerkuesit, duke perdorur Hubble Space Telescope te NASA-s shpallen zbulimin e P5, nje hene e vogel me madhesi vetem 6 deri ne 15 milje (10 deri ne 24 kilometra) e gjere. P5 e con numrin e sateliteve te njohur te Plutonit ne 5, dhe ky zbulim vjen vetem nje vit mbas zbulimit te henes numer kater, prane P4.

Keto zbulime te fundit tregojne qe sistemi i Plutonit eshte me i populluar nga sa kishin menduar shkencetaret. Keshtu, anija kozmike e NASA-s, New Horizon, e cila do te niset ne udhetim drejt planetit ne vitin 2015, duhet te beje shume kujdes.

"Ne po gjejme gjithmone e me shume, keshtu qe shqetesimi yne per rreziqet eshte duke u rritur." - hetuesi kryesor i New Horizon, Alan Stern i Southwest Research Institute ne Boulder, Colo, tha per Space.com.

Stern dhe koleget e tij po bejne nje inventar te sistemit te Plutonit me Hubble per te patur nje panorame me te qarte te rreziqeve me te cilat mund te perballet New Horizon , dhe ne menyre qe te ndihmojne ne dizenjimin e trajektores me te sigurte per anijen kozmike.

"Rregullimet ne trajektoren e anijes mund te behen edhe me vone, kur New Horizon t'i afrohet planetit," - tha Stern.

Nderkohe qe P5 eshte duke i mbajtur shkencetaret e New Horizon me emocione dhe me fryme te ngrire, sateliti i sapogjetur shton kuriozitetin ne lidhje me ate cfare do te mund tezbuloje anija kozmike mbas 3 vjetesh.

"Kjo eshte nje kujtese tjeter ne lidhje me sa pak njohuri ka njerezimi." - tha Stern.
