Panteizmi

Panteizmi vjen nga trajtat greke "pan = gjithë" dhe "theos = zot", me kuptimin "gjithzot", "gjithçka është zot". Panteizmi beson në një "zot" gjithëpërfshirës dhe se gjithësia apo natyra si tërësi janë e njëjta gjë me "zotin". "Zoti" është natyra, gjithësia është "zoti". Ky qëndrim është shfaqur që në lashtësi në veprat e filozofëve, dhe ka lulëzuar më gjerë në zhvillimet e shekujve XVII dhe XVIII krahas deizmit duke ndarë me këtë të fundit veçorinë e kalimit lehtësues nga teizmi për në ateizëm në kohët kur ishte e papranueshme të shprehej hapur në publik mosbesimi në "zot", apo mosbindja ndaj fesë.
