Jo të gjitha shtrydheset kanë për qëllim thjesht procesin e shtrydhjes. Ndoshta shembulli më i njohur i kësaj është shtrydhesja SALIF, projektuar nga Philippe Starck në 1990. Ajo konsiderohet një Ikonë e dizajnit industrial e cila është ekspozuar në muzeume të tilla si Muzeu i Artit Modern i Nju Jorkut. Fillimisht, ai u frymëzua nga një limon mbi kallamar ne nje restorant me prodhime deti, por shumë kritike e komentojne sin je merimange kete shtrydhese. Ajo është prodhuar nga kompania italiane e eneve te gatimit Alessi. Diametri i saj është 14 cm, lartësi 29 cm, dhe ështëe bërë prej alumini pasqyrues.



Për përvjetorin e dhjetë të saj, u prodhuan 10.000 shtrydhese prej ari te praruar. Ka pasur edhe një version gri ne te zezë.
Starck ka thënë, "shtrydhëse ime nuk ka për qëllim të shtrydh limon, por ka për qëllim ngritjen e kritikave te dizainit modern.
Me nje cmimi prej 80 $ mund ta kene ne shtepi te gjithe .
