Rezultat surprizë ishte humbja e Manchester Citit përballë CSKA-Moskës në Angli. Ndeshja përfundoi me rezultatin 2-1 për rusët, heroi i të cilëve ishte Doumbia me dygoleshin e tij. City në pjesën e dytë për shkak të nervozizmit mbeti me 9-të lojtarë, pasi gjyqtari takimit ndëshkoi dy herë me karton të kuq anglezët. Fitore dhe kualifikim u regjistruan edhe për Barcelonën, PSG-n dhe Porton, ndërsa Chelsea barazoi ndaj Maribor në fushën e këtyre të fundit.
