Punimet e Gary Strobel, Universiteti Montana (USA), kane vertetuar edhe nje here qe kepurdha Gliocladium roseum prodhon hidrokarbure ne mungese te oksigjenit.
Strobel ka kerkuar ne te gjithe boten mikro-organizma te dobishem te instaluar tek bimet. Ai ka gjithashtu meriten e zbulimit, ne 1993-in te nje kepurdhe e cila lejonte perftimin e Taksolit, nje anti kanceroz i rendesishem. Dhe ka zbuluar gjithashtu nje bakterie nga e cila nxirren dhe sot rreth 50 antibiotike.

Kete here Strobel ka zbuluar vetite energjetike te Gliocladium roseum. Ne ajer te paster, ne pemet e veriut te Patagonise, vendi ku jane zbuluar, keto mikro-kepurdha clirojne gaz. Por ne nje atmosfere te varfer me oksigjen, ato clirojne nje sere molekulash te hidrokarbonizuara si ato qe gjenden rendome tek gazoilet.
Keto mikro organizma ushqehen me celuloze, gje e cila mund t’i interesoje industrialisteve te cilet jane ne kerkim te menyrave per te prodhuar agrokarburante pa hyre ne gare me ushqimin.

Strobel ka filluar te ckodoje gjenomin e ketij paraziti per te zbuluar gjenin pergjegjes te prodhimit te hidrokarbureve. Por do duhen me siguri vite para se te percaktohet nese shendeti i automjeteve gjendet tek nje mikro-kepurdhe.
