Manchester, Angli - Nje robot i krijuar me imazhin e nje femije eshte prezantuar javen e kaluar nga nje grup shokesh kerkuesa te universiteteve te ndryshme Europiane.
iCub eshte nje robot i vogel i afte te levizi dhe te mesoj si nje nje femije 3-vjeç . Te premten e kaluar , ai eshte prezantuar per here te pare ne Universitetin e Manchester dhe eshte nje nga robotet me te evoluar te Europes.
I afte te eci dhe te kacavirret , roboti mund te levizi koken dhe syte e tij dhe te njohi e te kapi objekte . Ky prototip i 1 meter i gjate dhe 23 kg eshte zhvilluar nga RobotCub Consortium ( shoqeria e grupit te robotave) ne Itali , qe mbledh disa universitar Europian .
5 vjet dhe shume miliona euro ( shifra nuk behet e publikuar ) ishin te nevojshme per te arritur ne kete rezultat.

Profesori John Gray - profesor i Control Systems Centre te Manchester , e ka pare robotin dhe jep kete koment : " Nje nga kualitetet e tija te medhaja eshte fakti se ai eshte nje platforme e hapur qe perdoruesit dhe zhvilluesit cilado qofte disiplina e tyre , te psikologjise apo zhvillimit robotik , mund te perdoren dhe te behen me mire ne menyre te lirishme . Uroj qe iCub do zhvilloj kapacitettet e tija qelluese si nje femije , duke mesuar dalengadale ti sherbeje "trupit" te tij , duke reaguar si duhet me njerzit dhe si perfundim te komunikoje me te tjeret "
