Astronomet e Universitetit te Kalifornise kane zbukuar per here te pare supernovat me te largeta te vezhguara ndonjehere.

Ata kane perdorur nje teknike te re dhe shume efikase qe ne te ardhmen mund te sherbeje per te zbuluar sa me shume yje ne kufijte e universit. Zbulimi i tyre eshte bere ne nje largesi prej 11 miliarde vite drite larg, pra 5 miliarde vite drite me shume se zbulimi i fundit qe ishte bere deri me sot.
Kjo metode u lejon astronomeve te marrin te dhena per funksionimin e galaktikave kaq te largeta dhe evolucionin e tyre. Jeff Cooke eshte nje prej studiuesve te ketij zbulimi qe eshte publikuar ne revisten “Nature”. Ai eshte i interesuar ne vdekjen e diejve 50 apo 100 here me te medhenj se Dielli jone, pasi kur ata shperthejne lene gjurme drite per nje kohe shume te gjate.
Cooke pohon se studimi i tij bazohet ne krahasimin e fotove te nje viti me fotot e realizuara gjate viteve te fundit. “Duke i krahasuar te gjitha bashke eshte e mundur te ecesh sa me larg ne hapesire, duke vene re edhe objekte me rrezatim shume te dobet”, shprehet astronomi amerikan. Per kete studim eshte perdorur teleskopi “Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope”. TCH
