Kjo proteine quhet “kisspeptin” dhe zhvillon nje funskion vital ne fazen e fillimit te pubertetit. Sipas studiuesve te Imperial College London, proteina eshte ne gjendje te riktheje funksionet riproduktive tek femrat ne te cilat ky sistem nuk funksionon. Por nga ana tjeter, hormoni nuk mund te beje asgje ne situata shume te veshtira ku ka pak mundesi qe sistemi i riprodhimit te rikthehet ne funksion.
Me pak fjale, kjo proteine ka efekt te menjehershem ne 8 % te cifteve. Ne nje studim te meparshem, te njejtet kerkues kane treguar se hormoni “kisspeptin” mund te stimulonte aktivitetin e hormoneve seksuale, ndersa kete here ata arriten te vertetojne se kjo proteine ka efekte dominante tek femrat me crregullime hormonale.
