Teleskopi kozmik "Hubble” për herë të parë realizoi një "photo session" të kometës ISON - kometa më e shndritshme e dekadës. Përpunimi i imazheve tregoi se bërthama e kometës ka një madhësi prej rreth 5-6 km, ndërsa reja e gazit shtrihet deri në 5.000 km, duke qenë 1.2 herë më e gjerë se Australia, njofton NASA.Kometa C/2012 S1 (ISON) në nëntor të vitit 2013 do të kalojë në një distancë prej 0.012 njësish astronomike (rrezja mesatare e orbitës së Tokës) nga Dielli.
