Ka që prej vitit 1907 kur konsulli i nderit të Suedisë solli biçikletën e parë në Shkodër që qyteti ynë më i madh verior nuk e ka hequr atë prej dore.

Një shkodran kur del prej shpije zor se del pa biçikletë. Si burrë a grua njësoj është. Pa dallime gjinore.

E rrugët e Shkodrës si askund në Shqipëri, e si rrallëkund në Evropë edhe pse korsitë e qytetit për biçikleta paradoksalisht janë fare të pakta i sheh plot e përplot gjithandej me biçikleta, sa në përdorim, aq edhe të parkuara nëpër bare, porta, rrëzë pemëve, sikur arredojnë qytetin.

Sipas një studimi te GO2 ne 2017 ka bërë në qytet, 30% e shkodranëve përdorin biçikletën, duke e futur Shkodrën në top qytetet evropiane për përdorim biçiklete. E 50% e përdoruesve janë gra e 50% burra.
