Ne nje njoftim te publikuar ne faqen e saj, FIFA sqaron se rezultati i ndeshjes nuk mund te ndryshoje dhe se ndeshja nuk mund te perseritet.

"Vendimet e marra nga arbitri gjate ndeshjes jane perfundimtare", thuhet ne njoftim.

Autoritetet irlandeze te futbollit kerkuan perseritjen e ndeshjes, e vlefshme per kualifikimin ne Boterorin 2010.

Nga ana tjeter trajneri francez, Raymond Domenech, theksoi se ne fushe nuk ka pare asnje prekje me dore te topit. "Me pas pashe imazhet dhe dukej qe ishte gabim i arbitrit. Per mua ky eshte futbolli, nuk ka te beje me mashtrimin dhe nuk kuptoj se perse duhet te kerkojme falje", u shpreh Domenech.
