Nese do te kishit vizituar plazhin Glass beach ne vitin 1949, d te ishit mrekulluar prej tij. Ky plazh ka nje pamje marramendese por pamja qe shihni ne foto nuk tregon vetem nje mrekulli te natyres. Per arsye te panjohura, banoret e Kalifornias e kane ndotur ate pafund duke hedhur mbeturina te rrezikshme ne oqean qe nxirreshin nga kimikatet e makinave te braktisura. Keto deme kane arritur shifren e tonelatave te xhamave te thyer te hedhur ne kete plazh.

Pas vitit 1949, pas nje keq-perdorimi te plazhit prej 18 vitesh, njerezit zbuluan ‘cuditerisht’ se e gjithe kjo ndotje ishte vertet e rrezikshme. Eshtu e pastruan plazhin nga mbeturinat por nuk arriten ta zhvishnin nga copat e pafundme te xhamave.

Fatmiresisht nena natyre eshte me e zgjuar se ne kur vjen puna te perballimi i mbetuinave. Gjate gjithe ketyre viteve, valet shkumezuese jane perplasur miliona here me keto copea xhami, duke i kthyer ata ne toptha shumengjyresh prej xhami te lemuar.

Banoret zbuluan se tashme plazhi ishte mbuluar nga nje ylber shumengjyresh gurash te shnderritshem (copezat e lemuara te xhamit). Zyrtaret e Kalifornias, vendosen ta mbronin kete plazh te rregulluar nga dora e natyres, duke e bere pjese te MacKerricher State Park.

Tashme zona e lazhit esht kthyer ne nje ambeient te mirembajtur dhe te mbrojtur nga shteti. Te gjitha mbetjet e makinave dhe mbeturinat e tjera jane destinuar te zhvendosen shume larg prej andej. Ky plazh, tashme terheq mijera vizitore ne vit dhe mirembahet si nje mrekulli e natyres./infoalb/
