Sipas një studimi, rezultatet e të cilit u publikuan në revistën “The Astrophysical Journal Letters”, eksoplanetet tetë herë më të mëdhenj se Toka mund të kenë kushte të favorshme për jetesë.
Në kuadër të këtij studimi u analizuan të dhënat rreth masës, radiusit dhe atmosferës së ekzoplanetit K2-18b, i cili ndodhet 124 vite dritë larg nga Toka.

Astronomët nga universiteti ”Cambridge” konstatuan se K2-18b në atmosferën e tij të pasur me hidrogjen mund të ketë ujë.

Dy ekipe të ndryshme në vitin 2019 njoftuan se kanë gjetur avull në atmosferën e këtij eksoplaneti.
