Harta me e vjeter e botes perendimore qe daton nga vitet 500 p.e.r. eshte zbuluar ne Italine jugore, ne regjionin ku jetonin Mesapet. Harta paraqet Mesdheun. Vendet jane paraqitur me pika ashtu siç behet edhe sot. Vetem emri i detit te Tarantit eshte shkruar ne greqishte "Taras", kurse pjesa tjeter e hartes eshte ne Mesapishte. Detet jane ilustruar me vija zig-zage qe paraqesin valet. Perveç qe eshte harta me e vjeter, kjo gjithashtu tregon se iliret ishin duke bere harta para se te benin te tjeret psh romaket ose greket.
