Femija qe rritet ne nje shtepi ku fliten dy gjuhe te ndryshme, eshte me i avantazhuar se sa moshataret e tij ku prinderit komunikojne me nje gjuhe te vetme.

Aftesite e te miturit e bejne ate qe te jete ne gjendje te mesoje pa problem dy gjuhe, ne nje kohe qe bashkemoshataret e tij vetem nje gjuhe. Sipas studimit te publikuar ne revisten “Science”, femijet qe mesojne dy gjuhe qe ne vegjeli, jane me te afte dhe me fleksibel ne veprimet e tyre. Bashkejetesa mes dy gjuheve ne trurin e femijes, ne moshen 1 vjecare, i ben me te forta funksionet e tij ekzekutive dhe sjellja verbale eshte me e sakte dhe e shpejte. Ne studimin me te fundit jane vene re sjelljet e 12 femijeve te ndare ne dy pjese, 6 qe jane duke u rritur me nje gjuhe dhe 6 me dy gjuhe. Rezultatet e dy grupeve kane qene te ndryshme pasi femijet e grupit te dyte i jane pergjigjur menjehere testit me figura, ndersa shoket e grupit tjeter jane perballur me disa veshtiresi ne gjetjen e trukut. “Ende pa folur, femija eshte ne gjendje te dalloje gjuhen e se emes dhe gjuhen e te atit dhe ne kete menyre ai krijon nje rregull linguistik shume me te shpejte se sa nje femije qe meson vetem nje gjuhe”, shprehet profesori Mehler.tch
