Europa Ligë ka hyrë në fazën e ndeshjeve në grupe, të cilat janë 12 me nga 4 skuadra. 24 ndeshjet e luajtuar kanë shkuar pak a shumë sipas parashikimeve, por edhe rezultate disi të paparashikuara. Gjithsesi janë vetëm ndeshjet e para në grup, kështu që të gjitha skuadrat i kanë mundësitë që të realizojnë objektivat e tyre. Bie në sy starti i mirë i skuadrave hollandeze, portugeze dhe spanjolle, ndërsa italianët vijojnë të mbeten prapa që në fillim, ndonëse kanë mbetur dy, ku Lacio barazon në shtëpi dhe Udineze fiton me vështirësi.
